　　集天賦及實力於一身的醫生杜樂生，在20年前一場巨大災難中，親身經歷生命無常、體制無情！在這場意外中，他失去摯愛的女友與情同家人的精神導師，之後他離開令他失望的醫院體制，隱身在小診所中用自己的方式，化身醫療外送員，搶救緊急患者，爭分奪秒不願放棄一線生機。也透過一次次出動、搶救生命的過程，修補自己內心的創傷與愧疚。同時，杜樂生與地方綜合醫院的副院長李志豪間亦敵亦友的強強對決，加上處事強悍但內心柔軟的女醫生徐敏安總在關鍵時刻介入；接連不同的醫療事件發生，所面臨種種醫病之間的人情、同僚之間的價值觀及自我的感情認同，讓杜樂生了解他必須重回體制，才能真正改革體制，但這一決定卻也成了20年前大災難真相所隱藏的秘密引爆點……
